Optimizing our unique scopes of practice to support whole-person growth.
Think of it like any good team. Every player has a position, and every position matters. The team only works when each person knows their role, trusts their teammates to cover theirs, and passes the ball when someone else has the better shot. No one player can do it all, and a team that tries usually ends up in each other's way.
That's how we practice. Each discipline brings something different, shaped by our training, licensure, and clinical experience. When we each have a clear sense of our own scope, and a real understanding of what our teammates do, care gets better. We know when to treat, when to refer, and when to tag in another provider. Families get clearer answers and smoother coordination. Insurance gets accurate billing. Licenses stay protected.
Practicing outside of scope, even with good intentions, can lead to client harm, family confusion, denied claims, and licensing concerns. Staying in our position isn't about limits. It's what makes a real team possible, and it's how we move forward together to support the whole person.
